Arminia Bielefeld maintained their perfect start to the season with a third win of the campaign thanks to a 2-0 triumph over Bochum on Monday evening. Sandhausen are in second place following their 4-0 win in Dresden, moving ahead of Düsseldorf on goal difference despite Fortuna's 2-0 home victory over fellow big-hitters Kaiserslautern. Nuremberg's winning start to the campaign ended with a 2-2 draw at home to Union Berlin while Darmstadt joined them as one of five teams on seven points at the top of the table with a 3-0 defeat of St Pauli.

Top scorers

Ingolstadt remain rooted to the bottom of the table and without a point following a 4-2 reverse at the hands of fellow Bavarians Regensburg, who registered their first points of the season, while Fürth are still waiting for theirs after returning from the long trip to Kiel empty-handed following a 3-1 loss.

Jann George struck twice in Regensburg's win to move joint-top of the charts on three, joining Pauli's Christopher Buchtmann. Hanno Behrens, who grabbed Nuremberg's 90th-minute equaliser, is now one of 11 men on two goals.
