Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is among the next generation of Bundesliga stars who will be on show at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India next month, after being included in Steve Cooper's 21-man England squad.

Sancho missed warm-up games against Brazil and South Africa earlier this month as he was completing his switch from Manchester City to Dortmund, but he was understandably one of the first names on Cooper's list for the upcoming tournament in India (6-28 October).

The 17-year-old winger has a remarkable record for the Young Lions, with 13 goals in 16 outings since scoring two minutes into his debut against Belgium last August.

Described by BVB sporting director as one of Europe's "brightest young talents", Sancho was named player of the tournament at the UEFA U17 European Championship in May, notching up five goals and five assists in just six games as England finished runners-up to Spain.

Sancho, the first Englishman to play for Dortmund, has made two appearances for the club's reserves this season, providing an assist in the 3-2 win over SV Rödinghausen. But given BVB's knack of developing young talent, it may only be a matter of time before he is lighting up the Bundesliga.
