Marco Reus was like the cat that got the cream after victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the 2017 DFB Cup gave the Germany star his first piece of major silverware as a Borussia Dortmund player.

Read on for all the post-match reaction to Dortmund's DFB Cup final triumph in the capital...

Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund forward): "I don't need to win lots of titles to be happy, but obviously it's better when you do. I'm just thrilled."

Marcel Schmelzer (Borussia Dortmund defender): "We showed that we really wanted to win. We've come out winners, and that caps a season we can all be incredibly proud of."

Roman Bürki (Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper): "We started well, but then sat back and tried to defend the 1-0 lead. What matters is that we won. We were already through to the Champions League group stage, and now we have a title. It's the icing on the cake of what's been a fantastic season."

Thomas Tuchel (Borussia Dortmund head coach): "I'm drained, I have to say. It was hard work - not exactly our best game. We started well, scored and then stopped playing football. We were lucky not to go behind. I didn't allow myself to think about it yesterday, so didn't get much sleep. We've done it!"

Alexander Meier (Eintracht Frankfurt forward): "It was close, it's tough to take. We played brilliantly. We were on a par with them - it's a real disappointment. The positives will come in a few days."

Lukas Hradecky (Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper): "I was hoping to save the penalty, but these things happen. We played really well. Hats off to the fans, who got right behind us."

Niko Kovac (Eintracht Frankfurt head coach): "Congratulations to Borussia Dortmund. BVB were the better side in the second half, they had the game under control. I've got huge respect for the effort my team gave. Small details decide finals, we gave it everything we have."
