USA international Christian Pulisic had a hand in two of Borussia Dortmund's goals and striker Michy Batshuayi struck twice late on in a dramatic 3-2 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday evening.

Borussia Dortmund 3-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

Goals: 1-0 Russ (o.g. 12'), 1-1 Jovic (75'), 2-1 Batshuayi (77'), 2-2 Blum (90+1), 3-2 Batshuayi (90+4')

The hosts got off to their customary fast start and took the lead early on when Mahmoud Dahoud's excellent pass set Pulisic scampering free down the right wing. The 19-year-old dinked a cross towards Marco Reus at the back post, but Frankfurt defender Marco Russ inadvertently turned it over his own line as he tried to clear. The visitors battled their way back into the game, disrupting Dortmund's flow with fierce pressing and thundering challenges, but further goalscoring chances were a rarity before the break.

The Eagles introduced Jonathan de Guzman at the interval and the Dutchman's arrival immediately made the visitors more dangerous, with his passing and set-pieces causing problems in the BVB box. Kevin-Prince Boateng drew a fine save out of Roman Bürki with an audacious back-heeled effort before Luka Jovic grabbed the equaliser their pressure deserved. However, their joy was short-lived, with substitute Batshuayi restoring Dortmund's lead moments later from another Pulisic pass. There were more twists to come late on though, as Danny Blum looked to have snatched a point when he levelled the score again in stoppage time, but Batshuayi smashed in his second with virtually the last kick of the game to give Dortmund all three points.
