Borussia Dortmund have received a boost ahead of the Revierderby with a number of first-team players returning following their dramatic 3-3 draw at FC Ingolstadt and their shootout win over Union Berlin in the DFB Cup. Sokratis Papastathopoulos is expected to partner Marc Bartra at the heart of the defence with Felix Passlack taking over at left-back. Roman Bürki should return in place of DFB Cup shootout hero Roman Weidenfeller. USMNT international Christian Pulisic is likely to start on the back of his impressive display against Ingolstadt. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will return after a break during the week. Emre Mor serves the second match of his suspension.

Just three changes are likely from the Royal Blues’ line-up that beat 1. FC Nürnberg in the DFB Cup on Wednesday, but Schalke did finished that tie in 90 minutes.
