Fabian inspires Frankfurt to win in Hamburg
Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Marco Fabian continued his rich vein of form, providing two assists in the Eagles' 3-0 victory away to Hamburger SV on Friday evening.

The hosts looked sharp early on in new coach Markus Gisdol's first home game in charge of the club, denying their visitors space in midfield and pressing high up the pitch. Yet Frankfurt, buoyed by their impressive 2-2 draw with FC Bayern München last week, weathered that storm and gradually settled into the game, taking the lead in the 35th minute when Lewis Holtby turned the ball into his own net from Branimir Hrgota's cross.

Hamburg struggled to recover from that blow and Dennis Diekmeier's sending off early in the second half made matters even worse for the hosts. It was a turning point, as Frankfurt looked increasingly comfortable and ruthlessly exploited the extra space. Fabian went close to scoring himself, but teed up both Shani Tarashaj and Haris Seferovic for goals that sealed a fourth win of the season.
