The Scout: My team after the Fantasy Upgrade

There is still time to take advantage of unlimited transfers during the international break and give your Official Fantasy Bundesliga squad a makeover. This week, our insiders reveal how they used the Fantasy Upgrade to overhaul their team from Matchday 1 to the line-up they’re sending out on Matchday 7. Next up: Florian 'The Scout' Reinecke.

Do you remember that warm late-summer sun at the end of August? It was idyllic weather, the landscape a lush green, and Kevin Volland, Arturo Vidal and Naldo were the bedrock of my fantasy team. At least in theory. Since then not only has the view from the office window changed, but so has my squad, which is now also barely recognisable.

Only three players who were part of my squad at the start of the season are still in my virtual locker room today. And that's not simply because of the possibilities afforded by the fantasy upgrade. I have also been able to use my budget of 153.2 million, which I now have at my disposal thanks to good business in the transfer market. First of all, every player from my "Project 50" are in the squad.

Goalkeepers:

Manuel Neuer (15.8M), Koen Casteels (7.4M)

Defence:

Raphael Guerreiro (11.3M), Jean-Philippe Gbamin (8M), Robin Knoche (7.2M), Nico Elvedi (7M), Konstantinos Stafylidis (6,7M)

Midfield:

Christoph Kramer (13.2M), Kevin Kampl (12.4M), Lukas Rupp (11.5M), Kerem Demirbay (3.2M), Benjamin Henrichs (5.5M)

Attack:

Robert Lewandowski (15.7M), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (15.5M), Jhon Cordoba (12.5M)

Now my cards are on the table and I am optimistic that I can keep my colleagues at bay with this squad.

Scout's honour!
