Rene Adler (Hamburger SV) - the former Germany international made a string of superb saves, only to have his resistance broken three minutes from normal time in HSV's 1-0 defeat to FC Bayern München.

Theodor Gebre Selassie (SV Werder Bremen) - after missing a glorious opening in the first half, the Czech international popped up with an injury-time winner as Bremen came from a goal down against VfL Wolfsburg to post their first three-point haul of the campaign.

Lukasz Piszczek (Borussia Dortmund) – an integral cog in the Dortmund machine, the Poland international scored his second goal in as many games in Friday's 3-1 win over SC Freiburg.

Oscar Wendt (Borussia Mönchengladbach) - takes his place in the side after an impressive performance, capped by his tenth Bundesliga goal, in Gladbach's 2-0 win over FC Ingolstadt 04.

Ousmane Dembele (Borussia Dortmund) - a nuisance for the Freiburg defence and registered his first Bundesliga assist.

Mahmoud Dahoud (Borussia Mönchengladbach) - covered more ground than any other player at BORUSSIA-PARK and notched his first assist of the season.

Joshua Kimmich (FC Bayern München) - had more touches than any other player at Hamburg's Volksparkstadion and delivered the winning goal.

Marco Fabian (Eintracht Frankfurt) - netted his second goal of the season and was the driving force behind the Eagles' last-gasp draw with Hertha Berlin.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund) - celebrated his 100th Bundesliga appearance with his 59th top-flight goal; four more than Bayern's Robert Lewandowski had at the same juncture.

Vedad Ibisevic (Hertha Berlin) - with two goals and an assist, the Bosnia striker had a say in all three of Hertha's goals in Frankfurt.

Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) - scored all three goals as Leverkusen shaded a five-goal thriller with 1. FSV Mainz 05.
