Julian Brandt (Leverkusen midfielder): "We’re delighted. We wanted to get third place sewn up before the final day of the season and we deserved to win the game. We had a lot of good chances and we couldn’t take them, so we’re just happy to have won. I think we’ll celebrate tonight."

Bernd Leno (Leverkusen goalkeeper): "At the end we were a bit nervous because we didn’t kill the game off, but we’re obviously delighted to qualify for the Champions League. We had a lot of injuries this season and we haven’t played at our best at times, but the table doesn’t lie. We deserve to be where we are. I think it’s normal to think about your future after five years at a club, but I’m happy to have to sorted it out.”

Roger Schmidt (Leverkusen coach): "We're delighted! My team performed really well today. We knew that a win would be enough to take us into the Champions League and we found the right balance of concentration and composure."

Pal Dardai (Hertha coach): "Congratulations to Leverkusen. We only really started playing after going 2-0 down."
