Alfred Finnbogason says he is confident FC Augsburg will remain in the Bundesliga after Saturday's 2-0 win away to VfL Wolfsburg took the Bavarian club five points clear of the relegation zone with three rounds of fixtures remaining.

VfL Wolfsburg 0-2 FC Augsburg

Goals: 0-1 Finnbogason (1'), 0-2 Altintop (57')

Alfred Finnbogason (Augsburg striker): "It wasn't pretty, but we were effective. I really should have added a third, but we can be really happy with a third win in a row. Now we just need a few more points to be be sure of safety. I'm confident we'll get the job done."

Halil Altintop (Augsburg attacker): "After taking the lead, we didn't really get out of our own half before the break. We did a much better job in the second half, though, and managed to score the second goal. That helped us settle back into the game. Now we want to turn things up a notch against Köln."

Ragnar Klavan (Augsburg defender): "We were very compact defensively. On top of that, we were very effective. That was the key to the win today. We rode the occasional storm, but we fully deserved the win. The five-point cushion is OK, but we want to build on it at home."
