Bayer 04 Leverkusen midfielder Julian Brandt and head coach Roger Schmidt both expressed their satisfaction with the side's come-from-behind 3-2 triumph away to FC Schalke 04 on Saturday evening.

After the visitors went 2-0 down at half-time, Brandt instigated the fightback with an excellent finish to reduce the deficit in the 54th minute. That sparked a frenetic period of attacking play from Schmidt's charges, who added two more quick-fire goals through Karim Bellarabi and Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez to secure all three points.
