Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s Mexican superstar Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez resumed full training on Wednesday after two weeks out with a broken hand.

The striker missed his side’s opening day defeat at Borussia Mönchengladbach but could now return to face Hamburger SV on Saturday.

Chicharito did play in Leverkusen’s DFB Cup first-round match against SC Hauenstein, scoring one goal and creating another in a 2-1 victory.

With Leverkusen still seeking to record their first league points of the new campaign, they would dearly love to be able to call upon the man who scored 17 Bundesliga goals from 28 appearances last time round.
