Robert Lewandowski (Bayern striker): "It wasn't a great game for the fans, but it was three important points. We definitely had Tuesday's game against Benfica in the Champions League on our minds. We'll have to play a lot better than we did today in that one.

Ribery exclusive: 'Bayern is a labour of love'

Pep Guardiola (Bayern head coach): "We started well and had some good openings - not just Franck [Ribery]'s incredible goal. A second goal would have made it easier. Now we're concentrating on Benfica. I hope we'll be at our best."

Manuel Neuer (Bayern goalkeeper): "If you only score one goal, you need a solid defence. Defensively, we played well as a team today."

Niko Kovac (Frankfurt head coach): "I'm not happy with the result, but I am happy with our performance. We made it hard for Bayern. We were good going forward in the second half, but weren't able to finish off any of our counters. I've got my fingers crossed for Bayern against Benfica."

Bastian Oczipka (Frankfurt defender): "Unfortunately we lost, but we played well for long spells. You could see the work we've put in in recent weeks."

Stefan Aigner (Frankfurt midfielder): "We had chances and should have done better with some of them. We wanted to take something from the game, but that didn't happen. Still, we played well."
