A fifth yellow card of the season in the Revierderby means Sokratis Papastathopoulos will miss Tuesday's clash with Hamburg, while there is also a doubt over Marcel Schmelzer after he picked up an injury in Gelsenkirchen. Matthias Ginter should take Papastathopoulos' place in the defence with Raphael Guerreiro expected to come in for Schmelzer.

Watch: Highlights of the reverse fixture on Matchday 10:

Nicolai Müller has been ruled out for up to six weeks after picking up an injury in the weekend win over Cologne and his place could go to Michael Gregoritsch, who came on for him on Saturday. Gideon Jung is another casualty from that game and his likely absence could see Albin Ekdal start. Kyriakos Papadopoulos and Johan Djourou will definitely miss out at the back.
