Augsburg coach Manuel Baum looks set to make a number of changes to his side after the 6-0 defeat to Bayern in the Bavarian derby. Konstantinos Stafylidis is likely to return after sitting out the game in Munich. Tim Rieder also looks set to give way to Daniel Baier in central midfield.
Centre-back Martin Hinteregger missed the derby with a knock, but is likely to return in place of Christoph Janker. Raul Bobadilla was subbed off at half-time at the Allianz Arena, but should lead the line again from the start on Wednesday. Ja-Cheol Koo is also set to return following his suspension.

Ingolstadt may choose to deploy the same starting XI that beat Mainz on Sunday with no new suspension or injury worries. If Maik Walpurgis does want to inject some fresh legs into his side, Pascal Groß is an option either in place of Sonny Kittel or Australia’s Mathew Leckie, who may be wary after a lot of travelling during the international break.
