Andre Schürrle (Wolfsburg forward): "This was a way of showing my quality. We know that we haven't been at our best this season, we know that we've dropped a lot of points and we wanted to send a signal out today. We were really flexible today in terms of positioning, we had a lot of freedom and that did us a lot of good. Obviously, my goals also did me some good, too. For everyone, it was a bit of relief today. I'm glad we put in such a good performance."

Dieter Hecking (Wolfsburg head coach): "We played a superb away game today. It perhaps wasn't as easy as the scoreline suggests. Hannover caused us one or two problems in the first 20 minutes. We started to get a grip on the game and then scored. You could see that our passing was getting better by the minute. Hannover had to run a lot. We knew that if we kept moving the ball that space would appear. Our confidence grew after the second goal and the team played the perfect game until the end."

Thomas Schaaf (Hannover head coach): "Unfortunately we couldn't match the performance of our fans in the stands. We started well and tried to get forward. The problem is we lack a cutting edge. Then we maybe started to doubt ourselves. As a result, we gave Wolfsburg more and more space instead of closing them down. We saw how Wolfsburg have the quality to take advantage of that. We tried to make changes at half time to shore things up, but were were too rash and too aggressive."

Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg defender): "Important win"

Daniel Caligiuri (Wolfsburg midfielder): "Important win today! Great to be back. Congratulations to my bro Andre Schürrle."
