FC Bayern Munich will spend two weeks of their pre-season tour ahead of the 2017/18 Bundesliga campaign in China and Singapore, and will contest four high-profile friendlies as part of their preparations.

The record champions are travelling to the world’s most populous country under the motto “Visiting Friends,” and will play two matches in Shanghai and Shenzhen in July. Announced in a press conference with FC Bayern brand ambassador Hasan Salihamidzic, FCB will face Arsenal FC, the side they knocked out of the UEFA Champions League 10-2 on aggregate this season, and then coach Carlo Ancelotti’s former club AC Milan.

The Bavarians will then head to Singapore for two further matches in the International Champions Cup, where they will compete against another of Ancelotti’s former clubs, Chelsea FC, and long-time Milan rivals Internazionale Milano.

The 2017/18 Bundesliga season commences on 18 August 2017, and Bayern will be hoping to feature in that opening game on the Friday night, which is traditionally hosted by the defending champions.
