Jeremy Toljan should return to the Hoffenheim squad after recovering from a thigh injury, but Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Pavel Kaderabek will miss out. Mark Uth, Fabian Schär and Lukas Rupp are also unavailable, though they are set to resume full training next week. Sebastian Rudy could start on the right, in which case Pirmin Schwegler or Eugen Polanski would come into defensive midfield. Andrej Kramaric is also a potential option in attack, as Hoffenheim look to defend their unbeaten home record in the Bundesliga this season.

Ingolstadt are determined to claim a first top-flight victory over TSG, after a draw and two defeats in their three previous meetings. Die Schanzer failed in their bid to get Mathew Leckie's red-card suspension reduced from two games to one (already served against Borussia Mönchengladbach), so the Australian winger will miss out against Hoffenheim, with Brazilian Roger coming into midfield. Moritz Hartmann remains sidelined with a thigh injury picked up in January.
