EA Sports’ Ratings Refresh campaign has come to an end and it’s brought some good news for two of Bayern Munich’s Spanish stars, Thiago and Javi Martinez, as well as youngster Joshua Kimmich. The core trio have all had their ratings permanently boosted in FUT 17 thanks to their part in Bayern’s title push.
Helping the record champions to a five-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table with a combined six goals and assists, the 25-year-old has already equalled his personal best for goal contributions in an entire campaign after only 18 appearances. The midfield maestro also averages more touches of the ball per 90 minutes than any other Bundesliga player (122). The Spain international has therefore seen his FIFA 17 rating increased to 85 with an improvement in his passing and physical statistics.
Watch: Thiago has become a pivotal figure in Bayern's midfield under Carlo Ancelotti:
Just like his club and international teammate Thiago, Martinez has also had his FUT 17 rating permanently increased to 85. Added value in his passing and dribbling abilities complement the 28-year-old’s improved numbers in his defensive and physical attributes as he settles into his new position at the heart of Bayern’s back line. Already the Bundesliga’s meanest defence, the Bavarians have only conceded ten goals in the 23 competitive matches he has started this season.
Watch: Javi Martinez ran the show as Bayern beat Leipzig before Christmas:
Labelled as the future of Bayern Munich, 22-year-old Kimmich has proven his worth across the pitch, but appears to be settling in best in central midfield. Kimmich has seen his rating rise by two in EA’s latest updates, and this is particularly thanks to the 12-point increase in the youngster’s shooting ability. No doubt this is down to the Germany international’s earlier run of four goals in five appearances at the start of the season.
