The 33-year-old defender will spend the next few weeks on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder during Saturday's defeat, the Bundesliga club announced on Sunday.
"Every injury is bitter, but Naldo had been the biggest pillar at the centre of our defence," commented Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking. "We all wish him a speedy recovery, although it may be the case that he misses the rest of the season. As a result of this, Robin Knoche and Dante, who combined so well in Ghent, are going to have to demonstrate how well they can play together."

Ever-present in the Bundesliga
Naldo has not missed a minute for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga this season, aside from the final 14 minutes against Bayern on Matchday 23 after picking up his injury. He hopes to be back "as quickly as possible," although he regrets not being able to help the team with key fixtures on the horizon.
"I felt some pain immediately in the right shoulder and I could not continue," he said. "It's of course very frustrating not to be able to help the team in such an important phase of the season."
