Yann Sommer (Borussia Mönchengladbach)

Securing his eighth clean sheet of the season, Yann Sommer produced a number of fine saves on Sunday afternoon to keep out Ingolstadt. The Switzerland international thwarted Marvin Matip and Dario Lezcano, among others, as Gladbach secured a 2-0 victory at the Audi Sportpark.

Defenders

David Alaba (Bayern Munich)

His 56th-minute goal was Bayern's fifth on Saturday afternoon as their resounding 8-0 win against Hamburg ensured they maintain their five-point cushion at the top of the table. This was only the Austrian's second league goal this season.

Sokratis (Borussia Dortmund)

The Dortmund defender opened his goalscoring account for the season in the 3-0 victory against Freiburg on Matchday 22. Following a Marco Reus free-kick, Sokratis shrugged off his marker in the box before calmly nodding the ball into the bottom right-hand corner to set Thomas Tuchel's side on their way to victory.

Stefan Bell (1. FSV Mainz 05)

It took only three minutes for Mainz defender Bell to nod home a corner and give the Zerofivers an early lead at the BayArena. The 25-year-old, who also helped the visitors keep a clean sheet on Saturday, now has four league goals this season - a personal best. All four goals have come from corners.

Midfielders

Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich)

France international Coman netted his first and second goals of the current campaign against Hamburg on Saturday. Coman only entered the fray with an hour gone, but struck twice in just nine minutes to add further gloss to the scoreline.

Naby Keita (RB Leipzig)

The hard-working midfielder may not have got on the scoresheet in the 3-1 win against Cologne however having won a club-high of 17 tackles, but his presence was nonetheless felt as the Guinean international won more challenges than any of his teammates. Keita looked dangerous in attack alongside Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg and subsequently provided two superb assists to keep Leipzig within touching distance of league leaders Bayern.

Levin Öztunali (Mainz)

Covering more ground (12.1km) than anyone on the pitch, Öztunali also had three shots on goal in Mainz's 2-0 win over Leverkusen, keeping the home defence on their toes. Die Werkself were powerless to prevent the 20-year-old doubling the visitors' lead soon after Bell's opener, however, as Martin Schmidt's side moved to within two points of Bayer 04.

Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich)

Robben netted his eighth goal of the season at the Allianz Arena to round off Bayern's goalscoring bonanza. Alongside his 87th-minute strike, the Dutchman won 13 tackles and had four attempts on goal, making it only a matter of time before he found the back of the net.

All the Hamburg defence could do was watch on as Robben struck goal number eight for Bayern.

Forwards

Serge Gnabry (Werder Bremen)

Gnabry netted his first ever Bundesliga brace in Bremens' 2-1 win against Wolfsburg. The 21-year-old has scored 10 times this season, with nine of those goals coming on foreign soil.

Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)

A hat-trick against Hamburg lifted the Bayern star level with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the top of the Bundesliga's goalscoring chart. Astonishingly, the Pole has found the back of the net 14 times in his last 12 meetings with HSV.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)

The Gabon international had gone two matches without a goal ahead of Dortmund's trip to the Black Forest. His brace at the Schwarzwald-Stadion ensured BVB's top scorer remains neck and neck with Lewandowski in the Bundesliga goalscoring chart.
