Darmstadt goalkeeper Michael Esser did some individual training during the week after picking up a knock in the Hessen derby defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt. There is no indication that he is a doubt for Saturday’s game, however, and manager Torsten Frings could well go with the same team that frustrated Frankfurt for so long in last weekend’s 2-0 loss. If that’s the case, American forward Terrence Boyd would lead the attack for the third game in a row.
