Almog Cohen is unlikely to feature for Ingolstadt for the second week running after twisting his knee in the 3-1 win over Hamburger SV on Matchday 18. Australian attacker Mathew Leckie also missed the 1-0 loss at Hertha Berlin last weekend but he has returned to training and could make the starting line-up along with Democratic Republic of Congo defender Marcel Tisserand. The latter was only on the bench against Hertha following his late return from the Africa Cup of Nations. Meanwhile, Florent Hadergjonaj had a scare in training during the week, but is expected to be OK.

Only Jerome Boateng and Franck Ribery are ruled out for FC Bayern, so Carlo Ancelotti could choose to shuffle his pack again given that his team had a midweek match against VfL Wolfsburg in the DFB Cup. Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich will be among the players hoping for a recall to the starting XI.
