FC Bayern München - FC Schalke 04 (Saturday, 15:30CET)

FC Bayern München winger Franck Ribery joins long-term absentee Jerome Boateng on the sidelines for the visit of FC Schalke 04, after picking up a thigh injury. The Frenchman will most likely be replaced on the left-hand side of midfield by Douglas Costa, who was a second-half substitute in the 2-1 win at SV Werder Bremen last time out. Midfielders Thiago Alcantara and Arturo Vidal are available for selection following injury, while captain Philipp Lahm is set to make his 500th appearance for the club, and Xabi Alonso his 100th in the Bundesliga.

As for Schalke, winter signing Guido Burgstaller has not been able to train all week due to muscular problems. If the Austrian does miss out, head coach Markus Weinzierl may look to bring in Yevhen Konoplyanka or youngster Donis Avdijaj in attack. Although Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is training with the first team again following a lengthy lay-off, it would be unrealistic to expect the Netherlands international striker to make anything more than a cameo appearance on Matchday 19.
