VfL Wolfsburg coach Valerien Ismael has no new injury concerns since the Wolves' 2-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach, but does have several new players at his disposal. Yunus Malli, Riechedly Bazoer and Paul-Georges Ntep could all come into the side.

Hamburger SV also have no fresh injury concerns, but goalkeeper Rene Adler has suffered a setback in training and is not yet ready to return. Lewis Holtby is set to return to the starting XI after missing their 2-1 win over FC Schalke 04 through suspension. That should see top scorer Nicolai Müller move further forward in place of Luca Waldschmidt. New signing Mergin Mavraj is also expected to start in central defence alongside Johan Djourou.
