1. FSV Mainz 05 coach Martin Schmidt's biggest concern ahead of this game will be where the goals will come from, with top scorer Yunus Malli having left for VfL Wolfsburg and striker Jhon Cordoba suspended after being sent off on Matchday 16. Yoshinori Muto is therefore expected to return to the starting line-up this weekend.

1. FC Köln are still without first-choice goalkeeper Timo Horn, who is not expected to return until next month at the earliest.
