Paul-Georges Ntep enjoyed a debut to remember for VfL Wolfsburg, the Frenchman influential in his new club's 1-0 victory against Hamburger SV on Matchday 17.
Signed from Stade Rennais FC this transfer window, Ntep took no time at all to make his mark at the Volkswagen Arena. The winger was a constant menace to the Hamburg back line, putting in a fine display that culminated in him delivering a perfect cross for Mario Gomez to head in an 82nd-minute winning goal. The new boy departed the field to a standing ovation seven minutes later and received plenty of praise from coach Valerien Ismael afterwards: "That's why we bought him, because he's unpredictable."
