SV Darmstadt 98 interim coach Ramon Berndroth is hopeful that Florian Jungwirth, Leon Guwara and Daniel Heuer Fernandes will all be fit enough to feature against the champions on Sunday afternoon. Änis Ben-Hatira is unlikely to be involved, however: a problem with his right ankle has ruled him out.

There are very few injury worries for the Bundesliga's record champions, FC Bayern München, ahead of the trip to Darmstadt: Mats Hummels returned to training this week after missing Matchday 14's win against VfL Wolfsburg due to illness. Jerome Boateng, Kingsley Coman and Julian Green remain absent, while there are also doubts about Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara, who missed training this week due to a bruised knee.
