- Okocha in Nigeria to promote the Bundesliga.
- Legends Tour will also take him to Ghana.
- Oliseh heads to Kenya ahead of Matchday 16.
Former Eintracht Frankfurt legend Jay-Jay Okocha has touched down in his native Nigeria ahead of the Bundesliga Legends Tour, which will see him and fellow ambassador Sunday Oliseh promoting the German top flight and its official broadcaster StarTimes in Africa – as well as spending some quality time with local football fans...
Okocha, who plied his trade at Frankfurt between 1992 and 1996, will be getting down to business on Friday morning, with an autograph session at the StarTimes Brand Hall in Mushin, just north of Lagos. He will then be taking part in a press conference at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel, before hosting a football clinic at the Agege Football Academy.
The highlight of the day, though, will be the mouth-watering clash between TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund, at 8:30pm CET, which kicks off Matchday 15. Okocha will be doing plenty to promote the game before showing his compatriots the best of what the Bundesliga has to offer.
The former Nigeria international will also spend Saturday in Lagos before travelling to Accra in Ghana on Sunday. On Monday, he will hand over to Oliseh, who will continue to spread the word in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, ahead of Matchday 16. Oliseh will also take part in training with local footballers, meet with fans and co-commentate the Bundesliga's mid-week games next Wednesday.
