With such a lengthy list of absentees, including first-team regulars Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, Ja-Cheol Koo, Raul Bobadilla and Alfred Finnbogason, FC Augsburg head coach Dirk Schuster is expected to name the same side that held Hertha Berlin and 1. FC Köln to goalless draws on Matchdays 11 and 12.

Eintracht Frankfurt travel to the WWK Arena without the services of suspended playmaker Marco Fabian. Ante Rebic is the favourite to fill in for the Mexican, while Makoto Hasebe could revert to his favoured position in midfield after playing in defence against Borussia Dortmund last weekend. Defender Omar Mascarell - back from suspension - and striker Branimir Hrgota are also pushing for starts.
