With Borussia Dortmund in town, Eintracht Frankfurt are expected to stick with the three-man backline that has brought them success, but with Makoto Hasebe moving into midfield in place of the suspended Omar Mascarell, centre-back Michael Hector will return to the first XI. Up front, Alex Meier should feature from the off having scored off the bench in the come-from-behind victory over SV Werder Bremen last weekend.

Dortmund's injury issues are easing and head coach Thomas Tuchel has a near full squad at his disposal for the trip to Frankfurt, including fit-again Marco Reus, who played a starring role in the stunning 8-4 UEFA Champions League win over Legia Warszawa. However, the Germany international will start on the bench. "Two matches in a matter of days would be a bit excessive after six months out," explained Tuchel. "You don't need to be a sports scientist to know that would be a high-risk approach to take." BVB are expected to switch back to a 4-1-4-1 formation, having operated with a three-man backline in their two most recent Bundesliga matches.
