Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dedicated his goal to the injured Marco Reus after helping Borussia Dortmund take Revierderby bragging rights with victory over FC Schalke 04 on Sunday.

Borussia Dortmund 3-2 FC Schalke 04

Goals: 1-0 Kagawa (30), 1-1 Huntelaar (33’), 2-1 Ginter (43’), 3-1 Aubameyang (48’), 3-2 Huntelaar (72')

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Dortmund forward): "We put in a very good performance, and we deserved to win in the end. I'm very happy that I scored. Going 3-1 up did us a lot of good, but it didn't decide the game. I'm dedicating my goal to Marco Reus."

Ilkay Gündogan(Dortmund midfielder): "Derby winners! We're number one in the Pott!"

Matthias Ginter (Dortmund defender): "We had some huge chances to make it 4-1 and 4-2. We're pleased we managed to win, regardless. It's hard to describe how good it feels to celebrate this with the fans and win at home. You sort of have to experience it, it's indescribable how good it feels to score and we're delighted to be able to give the fans a victory. We tried to build from the back early on, but gave the ball away too much, but after half-an-hour, we managed to get into the swing of things."

Thomas Tuchel (Dortmund coach): “We had a lot of chances to kill the game off. I had the feeling from the start that we wouldn't be able to play with the freedom with which we have been playing recently. We wanted to stay calm and patient to do our job. We tried not to let the fantastic atmosphere affect us. We knew it would be hard work, but my boys did very, very well."

Shinji Kagawa (Dortmund midfielder): "I was surprised myself, I didn't expect to score with my head. We were wobbling towards the end. I think Ralf Fährmann deserves a lot of praise, because he managed to stop a few huge chances that came our way. It's important that we created a lot of chances, but the most important thing is to have won the derby."

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Dortmund midfielder): "It was a hard, stressful game. It was definitely very good for the spectators. We could have had a 4-1 or 5-1 lead, but then we conceded a silly goal. We got there in the end, though, so we're obviously happy."

Julian Weigl (Dortmund midfielder): "I've never heard the stadium as loud as that. Every player knows what a derby win means for the city."

Mats Hummels (Dortmund defender): "Derby winners!"
