Lukas Hradecky pulled off a string of saves to help Eintracht Frankfurt into third place with a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday evening.
Hradecky conceded 52 goals last season as Die Adler narrowly escaped relegation, but the Czech-born Finland No1 has been a man reborn in 2016/17. He may have been denied a sixth clean sheet against Dortmund, but if it wasn’t for the 27-year-old’s intervention – specifically with saves from Andre Schürrle and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – is is hard to imagine Eintracht Frankfurt would have picked up the three points that sent them third.
