bundesliga.com rounds up the reaction to the Wolves' first away victory of the 2015/16 season.

Dieter Hecking: "We knew it was going to be a tough ask today, so I'm very happy that we've won. It was clear that we'd have to be very patient in order to get the three points. I'm also pleased that we didn't get hit on the counter very often. In the first half half I was looking for a little bit more pace from my players, but that got better in the second half. There was also an element of fortune about our goal. After going 1-0 up it would have been nice to get the second goal, as it was obvious Darmstadt would throw everything at us in the closing stages. It's been a good week for us with three wins, which have given us a good foundation for the DFB Cup match with Bayern."

Christian Träsch: "We knew it would be difficult today, that Darmstadt would fight. They did that, and it was difficult for a long time to break them down when they had five or six men in defence, but we deserved to get the goal."

Ricardo Rodriguez: "It's very important for us to stay around the top of the table, so today was an important win. Now we're going to give everything against Bayern in the DFB Cup."

Daniel Caligiuri: "We knew what was coming, we knew that Darmstadt would give everything. They did that and held out for a long time. The state of the pitch obviously didn't help us and the way we play."

SV Darmstadt 98

Dirk Schuster: "I'm proud of my team's performance. Physically, there was nothing to separate us from one of the strongest teams in Germany today and we also managed to restrict them to very few chances. For us it was a very good performance, but it's clear that you're never going to be able to shut out Wolfsburg completely with the quality they have. At the end of the day, you have to applaud that quality."

Marco Sailer: "It was a strange defeat. We gave it our all but were punished for an error late on. We fought really, really well and even created a few chances ourselves. Wolfsburg had to adapt their style slightly after the break. They tried to hit more long balls towards Bas Dost and create problems for us, but we defended well for the most part."

Aytac Sulu: "We hardly gave anything away until their goal, we had defended very well which makes conceding even tougher to take. We gave everything until the very last second and could even have taken a point late on. Wolfsburg are a really good side but we matched them for long periods. We can definitely build on this performance and take some positives into the next game."
