Arjen Robben has been ruled out of Bayern Munich's upcoming trip to Borussia Mönchengladbach through injury, the club have confirmed.

The Dutchman is suffering from a minor thigh strain sustained early in the second half of the midweek UEFA Champions League win at Anderlecht.

Robben, who has registered three goals and four assists in 18 appearances in all competitions so far this season, joins goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (foot) and midfielder Thiago (thigh) on the sidelines.

Bayern are also sweating on the fitness of David Alaba (back), Rafinha (foot) and Kingsley Coman (foot), while Franck Ribery and Thomas Müller – although both training again following injury – have not played since Matchday 7 and 9 respectively.
