Hanover - Hannover 96 have bolstered their frontline for the 2015/16 campaign by recruiting striker Charlison Benschop from Bundesliga 2 side Fortuna Düsseldorf.
'Highly-promising attacking option'
The 25-year-old forward, who scored 13 league goals and provided a further three assists in 2014/15, put pen to paper on a three-year deal valid until 30 June 2018.
"I'm really looking forward to playing for Hannover," Benschop told his new club's official website. "Here I'll have the chance to keep developing and to establish myself in the Bundesliga."
Sporting director Dirk Dufner was equally pleased with the transfer: "We're getting a highly-promising attacking option in Charlison. He's shown his qualities and ability to assert himself at Düsseldorf and we're very happy he's decided to join Hannover 96."
