Augsburg to play in the WWK Arena as of 2015/16
Augsburg - Having assumed the role of FC Augsburg’s primary sponsors, Munich-based Insurance Group WWK have now also acquired the naming rights to the club's stadium for the next ten years.
As of the 2015/16 campaign the Bundesliga outfit's home stadium will be known as the WWK Arena, meaning that WWK have strengthened the sponsorship activities relating to their involvement with the UEFA Europa League participants.
"We’re pleased that we've been able to take another step towards a long-term, close cooperation with WWK Insurance Group," said Augsburg club president Klaus Hofmann. "WWK are the right partner from our perspective and we’re looking forward to overseeing the successful development of FC Augsburg together."
