16:30 Four hours to kick-off!

This Supercup really does look too close to call. Wolfsburg pushed Bayern harder than any other club in the past three years for the Bundesliga title last season, picking up the second trophy in German football - the DFB Cup - as a welcome consolation. We asked Thomas Hitzlsperger who he favoured to win tonight, and you can find out his prediction in this exclusive interview.

16:15 Winning habit

Lifting the Supercup would not come as something new to Arjen Robben, who passed a late fitness test and is part of the Bayern squad. Will he start? All will be revealed very soon indeed.

16:00 The prowlers

What a debut it might be for Wolfsburg's new recruit Max Kruse, who could get his hands on some silverware after the first game for his new club. Speaking of dream debuts, Robert Lewandowski's first year at Bayern could hardly have been any better, although he didn't win the Supercup. Can he do that tonight? Here's a closer look at the most likely sources of Supercup goals tonight.

15:30 The dazzlers!

If it is entertainment you are after, then look no further than Kevin De Bruyne and Thomas Müller. But which of the two will hold the key to victory tonight? The record assistman in green or FIFA World Cup record-breaker in red? Here's a closer look at how they compare.

15:00 Getting closer

Moving further up the field, which of these two 'holding' midfielders will 'hold' the trophy tonight? Luiz Gustavo has already had his hands on the trophy once before, when he was wearing Bayern's red in 2012. Can he complete a double with different clubs? Xabi Alonso, like his coach Guardiola, is bidding to lift the trophy for the first time. Click here to find out more.

14:30 Six hours to go!

Kick-off is approaching so here's an introduction to some of the stars on show tonight, starting at the back, where we have Naldo vs Boateng. Wolfsburg's solid Brazilian was among the most prolific goalscoring defenders in the Bundesliga last season, but how does he cut it compared with German international Boateng, Bayern's Mr. Reliable at the back last term? 12:15 - Key showdown

The Supercup 2015 isn't just a meeting of the Bundesliga's top two sides from last season, but is also a clash of high calibre head coaches. After guiding VfL Wolfsburg to a second-place finish and a DFB Cup win, Dieter Hecking was named Germany's Coach of the Year, while Pep Guardiola has clinched all but two titles - the Supercup and the UEFA Champions League - during his two-year stint with FC Bayern München. This handy infographic puts both head coaches under the microscope.

VfL Wolfsburg are hoping Kevin de Bruyne will be able to take his place in the starting line-up. Germany’s Footballer of the Year had been a major doubt after missing much of pre-season with a back injury. The Belgian midfielder returned on Friday to take part in the team’s final training session.

FC Bayern München’s new star signing Arturo Vidal has been named in the squad just four days after completing his move to the record champions. And Arjen Robben, whose season ended prematurely last time out due to injury, is back with the team and ready to start. The news is a boost to coach Pep Guardiola, who made clear he „wants to win this trophy.“
