2015/16: Day 25 of pre-season
Cologne - The new Bundesliga 2 season kicked off with a bang on Friday evening, but the 18 top flight clubs still have three weeks to work on their fitness levels before the start of the 2015/16 Bundesliga season.

Weigl satisified
BVB summer signing Julian Weigl could not hide his grin after the club's 2-0 win over Juventus.
Translation: "A good way to finish off our training camp with a victory! Long may it continue!"

Schalke new boy Franco Di Santo and sporting director Horst Heldt were all smiles today as it was announced the striker would wear the number 9 shirt.
Going places
Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel was in positive mood following BVB's 2-0 win over Juventus in St. Gallen...

The Auba-Reus connection
Borussia Dortmund have been playing some fabulous football against Juventus. The Yellow-Blacks currently lead 2-0 through goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus.
Schulz fires Hertha to victory
Nico Schulz scored the only goal of the game as Hertha Berlin recorded their first pre-season win in four against Turkish Süper Lig club Akhisar Belediyespor.
Translation: That's it! Hertha beat Akhisar Belediyespor 1-0 thanks to a goal from Nico Schulz.
Prestigious affair
It's the one we've all been waiting for: Borussia Dortmund vs. Juventus in a repeat of last season's UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash.
Di Santo passes Schalke medical
Franco Di Santo is on the brink of joining FC Schalke 04. The Argentinian striker parted ways with SV Werder Bremen today after the Royal Blues activated a release clause in his contract.
World Cup qualifying draw

Swiss international forward Haris Seferovic's first-half free kick was enough for Eintracht Frankfurt against Fulham FC in Windischgarsten.
Hoffenheim victorious
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim were made to work for the win against Leeds United, Mark Uth and Steven Zuber with the goals in a 2-1 success.
Translation: Markus Gisdol after the win against Leeds United: "It was an intense game that asked a lot of us."
Gladbach held
Josip Drmic and Marlon Ritter were on the scoresheet for Borussia Mönchengladbach in this afternoon's 2-2 friendly draw with Turkish club Bursaspor.

Food for thought for 2014/15 Bundesliga runners-up VfL Wolfsburg after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Villarreal CF in the Emirates Cup.
BVB hit the road
The Borussia Dortmund team bus is heading for St. Gallen, where Thomas Tuchel's troops will tackle Italian champions and 2014/15 UEFA Champions League finalists Juventus in a friendly later this evening (kick-off 18:30 CEST).

VfL Wolfsburg have work to do against Villarreal CF in the Emirates Cup. Ivan Perisic quickly levelled in the tenth minute, but the Yellow submarine soon restored their advantage.

Piotr Trochowski's stunning free kick wasn't enough for FC Augsburg as Norwich City scored two late goals to take the friendly spoils.
