Rounding out the vote, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim’s Kevin Volland finished on 13 per cent courtesy of the stunning set-piece he scored in a 3-1 reverse in Frankfurt, while Lukas Rupp’s late consolation in SC Paderborn 07’s defeat to VfL Wolfsburg by the same scoreline was only enough to claim nine per cent of the votes.
