The projection of the five-time Bundesliga champions' logo made its way into the Guinness World of Records as the largest projection ever undertaken.
Biggest ever Hennes
Covering an area of 39,000 square metres, the logo covered practically the whole surface of the infamous American landmark. Cologne-based PR agency Oliver Schrott Kommunikation (OSK) chose the Köln logo to experiment the new powerful lighting system installed, thanks in no small way to the affinity to the club of many of the firm's employees.
"The fantastic photos of the FC logo on the Hoover Dam are an honour for us and we're naturally very pleased," said Köln executive director Alexander Wehrle. "It's great that FC fans are working on such extravagant projects and ensuring that 1. FC Köln has a presence on one of the most famous structures of mankind. That is truly something special."
