Kaiserslautern - 1. FC Kaiserslautern climbed into second place in Bundesliga 2 after drawing 1-1 with RB Leipzig, who remain seven points adrift of an automatic promotion spot.

In a full-blooded first half, RB Leipzig took the lead when Yussuf Poulsen latched onto Emil Forsberg's pass and placed a neat finish into the corner, but the hosts were level just a few minutes later when Simon Zoller kept his cool to poke home from close range.

The second half largely belonged to the Red Devils, who really should have made more of several presentable opportunities. Sebastian Jacob could only find the side netting when clean through, while Fabio Coltorti denied Alexander Ring with two excellent saves, the latter coming in the dying seconds, after Leipzig had had Emil Forsberg sent off for a second bookable offence.
