Düsseldorf - Fortuna Düsseldorf's Michael Liendl converted a 90th-minute penalty to secure his side a deserved 1-1 draw at home to promotion hopefuls 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Matchday 28.

The visitors, third in the table going into the game, took the lead inside eight minutes when Simon Zoller, on loan from 1. FC Köln, showed strength and composure to finish from Markus Karl's cross.

Düsseldorf responded well, however, and after Charlison Benschop and Tugrut Erat missed good opportunities, Liendl rolled home the equaliser from the spot after Willi Orban had fouled Joel Pohjanpalo. Lautern move back into second but are still five points off league leaders FC Ingolstadt, while Fortuna stay seventh.
