Stuttgart - Almost everyone at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena was speechless after VfB Stuttgart's remarkable late 3-2 victory over SV Werder Bremen in Matchday 28's conclusion. The home side's players, however, managed to muster up a few words to express delight with a win which lifts them off the bottom of the table.

rounds up the post-match quotes from a rollercoaster encounter in Swabia...

Daniel Ginczek:

"Incredible! What a game in front of our own fans. We'll keep fighting, but at the moment it's pure happiness. Obviously it's an indescribable feeling, we played brilliantly and the whole team deserves praise. It was tough to defend with ten men, but to then make it 3-2 was amazing. I'm delighted to be able to help the team. It was pure emotion scoring the winner, and in front of our fans. You could see that we really wanted to win, even with ten men, and although we had a bit of luck, we deserved the three points on balance. I'm delighted it went in at the end, and it was a vital goal. Obviously, during a game I'm aware of what their defence and goalkeeper are doing, and we try to use our pre-match analysis in a positive way. Maybe that was key to our success today. We want to maintain this good run and every game between now and the end of the season is crucial. Obviously, the coaching team in Huub Stevens and Robin Dutt brings lots of experience and they help the young players in a relegation battle. We're concentrating every day on working hard to ensure our survival. Today was a step in that direction, but we have six finals left."

Sven Ulreich:

"It's really important to have climbed from 18th place. We conceded a foolish goal from a header, but then won it late on. It's vital for our mentality to have won and taken a positive result from this weekend. This win is a small step, but we should have won the game earlier."

Christian Gentner:

"There were too many ups and downs in this game, although obviously we're delighted to have won. We've been playing well recently, and that has contributed to a positive atmosphere. Everyone is aware though, that there are some tough weeks still to come. We can't slip up and we have to give it everything right until the end of the season."

Martin Harnik:

"In the first half, we played well as a team but then the second half began with them equalising, which tough for us. After that, we didn't take our chances, and I was a particular culprit. I don't really know how to explain my misses as usually I'd score those. But I sensed the team's trust and set up the goal to make it 2-1. With our recent performances, we've almost taken ourselves to safety and we're carrying an unbelievably good mood into the next few weeks."

SV Werder Bremen

Raphael Wolf:

"They got through at the end to score the winner in a one-on-one situation and that's how we lost. Obviously, it's a foolish goal to concede. I made a mistake for the second goal, but that had little to do with our overall performance this afternoon."
