Mainz forward Hofmann undergoes arthroscopy
Mainz - 1. FSV Mainz 05 will have to do without the services of Jonas Hofmann for several weeks after he underwent an arthroscopy on his right knee on Friday.
The forward went under the knife in Bad Griesbach in a bid to resolve a long-standing problem. Hofmann, who has been restricted to only 12 Bundesliga appearances this season due to a knee ligament injury, is on loan at Mainz from Borussia Dortmund and has scored three goals for the Rhineland-Palatinate club in the current campaign.
