Zeist (Netherlands) - VfL Wolfsburg striker could be set for his international debut after making the Netherlands’ 28-men preliminary squad for their upcoming fixtures against Turkey and Spain.

The in-form 25-year-old, who has scored 11 goals in seven Bundesliga matches since the turn of the year, is one of three representatives from the German top flight in head coach Guus Hiddink’s plans. The others are FC Bayern München winger and Dutch Sportsman of the Year , and FC Schalke 04 marksman .

The Netherlands play Turkey in a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier on 28 March, with the Oranje in dire need of victory having collected just six points from their opening four matches. Hiddink’s men then entertain Spain in an international friendly in Amsterdam three days later.
