3 - netted his third direct free-kick of the campaign, taking him just one behind SV Werder Bremen's , who has scored four from set-pieces this term.

2 - bagged his first Bundesliga brace in Schalke's 3-1 win over Hoffenheim. Both of his shots hit the back of the net.

8 - Hannover 96 are now without a win in eight games, having picked up just four out of a possible 24 points in that time. Stuttgart are the only other Bundesliga side without a victory since Matchday 16.

100 - 's 126th Bundesliga appearance yielded his 100th win in Germany's top flight. No other player has reached a century of victories so quickly.

100 - Saturday's defeat was Dieter Hecking's 100th as a Bundesliga coach. His first was way back in August 2006, in a 3-0 loss to Bayer 04 Leverkusen while in charge of Alemannia Aachen.

11 - After 11 league games without defeat, Hecking's VfL Wolfsburg finally lost a game, thereby missing out on a club record.

9 - Stuttgart have not won any of their last nine home games, setting a new club record in the process.

9 - Stuttgart also failed to score at home for the ninth time this season. The only clubs that have failed to score more frequently in front of their own fans over the course of an entire campaign were Tasmania Berlin in 1965/66 (11) and Greuther Fürth in 2012/13 (ten).

11 - Mainz have already had 11 draws this season. In order to equal their club record, they need just one more stalemate from their remaining ten league matches.

4 - Leverkusen have now won their last four games in all competitions, which constitutes their longest winning run since August 2014.

3 - Paderborn's 3-0 defeat to die Werkself was the East Westphalians' third straight loss in the league - their longest barren spell in their young Bundesliga history.

7 - Andre Breitenreiter's side have failed to score in seven of their last eight league encounters. In fact, last season's Bundesliga 2 runners-up have not found the back of the Benteler Arena net in three months.
