Hamburg - Strength, will and determination were the secrets to Hamburger SV's success in holding Borussia Dortmund to a goalless draw at the Imtech-Arena on Matchday 24.

Borussia Dortmund

In the end, there was little doubt that the draw was a fair result, even if there was still some disappointment, from both sets of players, that it was not three.

has the post-match reaction from northern Germany...

Mats Hummels:

"The result's good to maintain the gap below us, but it's too little to climb any higher. Hamburg were very aggressive at times and we just couldn't create many chances."

Roman Weidenfeller:

"We had to get used to the physicality of the game today but we'd done that very well by the end. HSV have their backs to the wall right now, so it's not really a problem if they play that way. We'll take the point."

Marcel Schmelzer:

"We just didn't manage to carve out many decent goalscoring opportunities, and that's what we need to work on. You can see from this game that we're making progress, though. We were solid at the back and managed to keep a clean sheet. They only created a few chances themselves."

Oliver Kirch:

"We didn't play as well or with as much organisation as we've done in the last few matches, and we need to look at ourselves because of that. We could have won the game. despite not creating than many chances."

Check out some of Dortmund's lovely flicks and tricks against Hamburg on the Bundesliga's official YouTube channel:

Heiko Westermann: "It was a game with a lot of tackles and not much of a flow to it. Dortmund were waiting for us to make a mistake. We had good chances in the first half, so the draw's a fair result. It was a good step forward for us."

Dennis Diekmeier: "We wanted to cut out the little mistakes and we managed to do that. It was a pretty physical game with a lot of long balls and we made sure we were always alive to the second balls. We gave them pretty much nothing in defence and managed to create one or two chances in attack. We didn't manage to take them, but it's an important point for us mentally."

Gojko Kacar: "It was a physical battle, but both teams got stuck in to the challenges. We're trying to stay up and we need points, however we can get them. Every one of us threw himself into the game 100 per cent for the team. We were playing at home and wanted to absolutely make sure that the points stayed here with us, but the draw was a fair result. We want to get out of this situation as quickly as possible and we need to the same in Hoffenheim next week."
