Wolfsburg - With a better goals-per-game ratio than any other footballer in Europe so far in 2015, it's not hard to see why VfL Wolfsburg striker has been named the Bundesliga's February Player of the Month.

Purple patch

The Dutchman has been in irrepressible form of late, becoming the first player this term to hit four goals in a single league game and the first in Bundesliga history to reach double figures after the first six games of a Rückrunde.

"It's nice," acknowledged Dost after scooping the Player of the Month accolade in the wake of Matchday 23's 5-3 win at SV Werder Bremen. "I hope I'll be Player of the Month [again]. I feel good. I play with top-class players. They play me in with some superb balls. The only thing I have to do is [stick them away], so it's easy."

The affable 25-year-old certainly makes it look that way, having found the back of the net at least once in all but one of the Wolves' six Bundesliga assignments since the winter break. A brace against table-toppers FC Bayern München on Matchday 18 was followed by the opening strike against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, a stunning four-goal salvo at Bayer 04 Leverkusen, two at home to Hertha Berlin and another double in Bremen. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, eat your heart out.
