Stuttgart sign Ivory Coast international Die
Stuttgart - VfB Stuttgart have confirmed the signing of Ivory Coast midfielder Geoffroy Serey Die from Swiss champions FC Basel 1893.
'Uncompromising playing style'
The 30-year-old, who has 18 caps for his homeland and is currently on duty at the in Equatorial Guinea, will join up with his new team-mates once the tournament is over.
Die has put pen to paper on a contract valid until 30 June 2017 and will wear the number 26. "We're delighted to have signed him," said Stuttgart's sporting director Robin Dutt. "He's a player with international experience who'll settle into his new environment quickly and will give us stability through his uncompromising playing style. He's exactly the type of experienced player we were looking for to help guide our youngsters."
